Trivia

  • When Daniel is making phone calls to locate his friend, the phone number that he leaves on the answering machine is 555-2368. That phone number is the same as the one used in Ghost Busters (1984) in their TV commercials.
  • The phone number Daniel says is also seen on Jim Rockford's phone in the opening title sequence of "The Rockford Files" (1974).
  • The B-25J seen in this film is known as "Photo Fanny" and is located at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California.
  • Jeffrey Abram's script was sold for $2 million under its original title of "The Rest of Daniel".
  • Nat and Felix are playing the video game F-Zero just before Daniel comes in.

Goofs

  • Continuity: While Claire is bandaging Daniel's cut hand, her blouse is unbuttoned, buttoned, and unbuttoned several times.
  • Errors in geography: At one point, Daniel drives past a sign reading to "Los Alamitos Air Base" which appears to be among some dry hills, while the real Los Alamitos Air Station is in the middle of the suburbs, where there are no hills.
  • Continuity: While Daniel is about to make dinner, Nat's hands are alternately folded/resting on the table between shots.

Quotes

Daniel: Are you Nat Cooper?
Nat Cooper: It's the dead guy!
[Felix runs in to the hallway, and also sees Daniel]
Felix: It's the dead guy!

Nat Cooper: [outside Alice's window, singing] You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are gray. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.
Alice's Father: Is this some kind of prank?
Nat Cooper: No, sir. No, sir this is very serious. My name is Nat Cooper and I'm in love with your daughter.
Alice's Father: Nat... go home.
